Post-Workshop Practice · 14 Days

Turn workshop techniques into a measurable reading practice.

A structured follow-up challenge to help you rehearse faster eye movement, preserve comprehension and see whether your reading efficiency improves over time.

Complete the assessment before your first drill, then repeat it on Day 14 under similar conditions.

Before You Practice

Start with a clean baseline.

After every completed assessment round, you will see your calculated reading speed, comprehension and Efficiency Scoring. You will also receive a Reading Intelligence Profile with behavioral interpretations and additional insights.

02

Review your calculated results

See your words-per-minute reading speed, comprehension accuracy and Efficiency Scoring immediately after completing the round.

03

Explore your Reading Intelligence Profile

Use behavioral interpretations, friction analysis, strength analysis, opportunity guidance and development insights to improve your approach.

04

Repeat when it is useful

Take additional assessment rounds during the challenge whenever you want more data. For clean comparisons, use similar conditions each time.

Prepare Your Material

Choose with purpose. Inspect before you read.

Bring your own book, report, article or chapter. The material should matter to you, but it should not be so high-stakes that a practice drill creates unnecessary risk.

  1. 1
    Build a short list

Identify 8-10 options across academic, professional or personal interests.

  2. 2
    Inspect strategically

Review the introduction, conclusion, headings, subheadings, bold terms, summaries and visual structure.

  3. 3
    Select one or two priorities

Decide what you need from the material and what level of comprehension the task requires.

The Core Method

Use one repeatable practice loop.

Separate training speed from comprehension speed. The drill expands your visual comfort zone; the transfer read teaches you to use that capacity with control.

1Comprehension Read

Read naturally

Read one chapter or section for good understanding. Time the read and briefly summarize the main idea when you finish.

  • Use a 25-minute focus block if needed
  • Record the total reading time
  • Prioritize meaning, not speed
3Controlled Transfer

Read about 20% faster

Move to new material and use a moderately faster pace. Check your understanding after each section and adjust when needed.

  • Maintain a clear purpose for reading
  • Slow down for dense or unfamiliar ideas
  • Let comprehension govern the pace

Half-Time Drill Calculator

Turn your reading time into a drill target.

Enter the time it took to complete your comprehension read. Your speed-drill target is half that time.

Adapt the Method

Different material deserves a different pace.

Efficient reading is flexible. Match the technique to your purpose, the difficulty of the material and the consequence of missing a detail.

Academic

Textbooks & Research

Inspect structure first. Slow down for definitions, evidence and unfamiliar concepts; use scanning to relocate key information.

Professional

Reports & Business Books

Begin with the decision or question you need to answer. Skim for structure, then read high-value sections closely.

Personal

Fiction & Nonfiction

Experiment with a smoother visual pace without sacrificing enjoyment, imagery or the details that make the experience rich.

Your Results

Compare the complete reading picture.

Record two assessment rounds below for a direct comparison. You can still complete as many additional rounds as you find useful. The assessment itself calculates your reading speed, comprehension and Efficiency Scoring, while your Reading Intelligence Profile provides behavioral interpretations and deeper insights.

How to Interpret Progress

The strongest signal is higher speed with stable or improving comprehension. Use Efficiency Scoring as the overall balance check.

After Day 14

Turn the result into your next reading goal.

  1. 01

What changed in your pace, focus or reading habits?

  2. 02

Which material allowed you to improve without losing meaning?

  3. 03

What is one technique you will continue three times per week?

Ready When You Are

Measure. Practice. Learn from every round.

Establish a baseline, practice deliberately and reassess whenever another data point would help you understand your reading efficiency.
